Unfortunately when you start with Google+ the default notification settings are to send you an email every time anything happens in your stream. I do not like this at all so I went to the Google+ and I turned off all email notification. There is enough noise in email as it is and Google has a better way of getting notifications and that is an alert box in the upper right corner of Gmail and Google+. Read more…

Google Profiles is actually a very old, at least a couple of years. Choose and control what you want others to know about you. You can share more with some Circles than others. Google has made your privacy number one business. You control who sees what.
Some people including myself are using profiles as a personal home-page.
Hangout simply put is video chat on steroids. You can do collaboration, business meetings or just hang out with your friends.
It is my plan to do this with the group soon when we’re all at home or elsewhere.
Upload and share photos with others easily. The drag and drop interface make share a truly seemless experience. You can post photos to your stream or share with a single Circle. You can also do a photo post directly from your phone.
Stream is the space where all of the share content is displayed. Both yours and content that is shared with you by others. Text, links, pictures, video and location markers are all there.
